Gilbert Model Railroad - One of Arizona's Largest HO Scale Model Railroad Displays

Experience Arizona's Largest HO Scale Model Railroad Display
Welcome to the Gilbert Model Railroad Club, a volunteer-operated model railroad club in Arizona dedicated to preserving the history of railroading through an incredible 1,500-square-foot HO scale layout. Located inside the HD SOUTH Museum in historic downtown Gilbert, our display recreates Central Arizona during the golden age of railroading, featuring detailed scenes from the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Whether you're a lifelong railfan, a model train enthusiast, or simply looking for things to do in Gilbert, our interactive display offers a unique experience for visitors of all ages.

Our HO scale railroad in Arizona features hundreds of feet of track, realistic scenery, working signals, and historically accurate trains representing the Santa Fe, Southern Pacific, and Magma Arizona railroads. Every mountain, town, bridge, and railroad yard has been carefully handcrafted by club members to capture the beauty and history of Arizona's railroads.
As trains travel through Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Superior, Prescott, and many other Arizona communities, visitors can discover the stories behind the railroads that helped build our state.
